Savory bacon and cranberry pear tarts

Cranberry pear salsa
1 bag of frozen or fresh whole cranberries
1C sugar
3 green onions
1 deseeded jalapeño
2 large pears diced small
1/4 tsp Cumin
1/4 C Cilantro
2 tbs lemon juice
Bacon and chive tart
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 C sour cream
1 lg egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp cracked plack pepper
1/2 cup real bacon crumbled
2 Tbs chopped chives
3 pkg of Phyllo shells


Prep time one hour-
In a large mixing bowl place the cream cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and egg in and mix till light and fluffy add bacon with chives towards the end. May need to scrape sides down while mixing, until its well combined. Place heaping tsp full into each shell on a baking sheet and bake 350* for 12-15 min until top is slightly cracked.While tarts are baking place clean dry cranberries into food processor along with cilantro, jalapeño deseeded, green onions bottoms removed and blend till chunky add cumin,lemon juice and sugar and process until all ingredients are well combined. Dice pears into small pieces and gently fold it into the cranberry salsa.
Place a heaping teaspoon of salsa on top of the savory bacon chive phyllo cup. Makes approx 45 appetizers best served same day for crispness.
